Rae Feller

Board Director

Rae is new to Colorado having recently relocated to Denver from Indianapolis, Indiana. Rae is an attorney having spent much of her career devoted to representing the interests of vulnerable children and families.

Before moving to Colorado, Rae served as the Indiana State Director of the GAL/CASA (Guardian ad Litem/Court Appointed Special Advocate), overseeing statewide efforts to provide quality representation for children in the court system. Her diverse legal background includes roles as a deputy prosecutor, public defender, Guardian ad Litem, and counsel for a child advocacy nonprofit. Rae’s leadership roles in child welfare law give her a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding of the complex challenges facing families in crisis.

Rae deeply loves someone who requires significant accommodations to live comfortably. Through both her personal life and her work, she has seen firsthand how easily people who need those accommodations can be overlooked and, as a result, left out. As an attorney, fairness and equity are core to how she sees the world, and she believes everyone deserves to be included and supported so they can live fully.

Through her many years working with nonprofits, Rae has  experience in fundraising, advocacy, community outreach, and mobilizing people to action. She has collaborated with community partners, supported program development for children and families, and engaged in policy and systems level advocacy. Rae is eager to volunteer her time and skills with C.H.A.D. to help strengthen and support the disability community.
